We aim to collect only what's needed to run the site. Today that includes:

• Account info: your email address and display name, provided through sign-in when you create an account.
• Contributions: hotel reports, reviews, and other content you choose to submit. Contributions are tied to your account and may appear publicly under your display name.
• Anonymous analytics: aggregate page-view metrics used to understand which pages are popular. We do not build advertising profiles.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it with third parties for advertising.

• All traffic to bidetbaron.com is served over HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication is handled by our managed auth provider — we never see or store your password.
• Database access is protected with row-level security policies so accounts can only read and modify their own private data.
• Privileged server operations run through audited server-side functions, not directly from the browser.
• Secrets and API keys are stored in our hosting provider's secret manager, never committed to source code.

If you're in the EU/EEA — or anywhere else — you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data tied to your account.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Export a copy of your contributions.

Email info@bidetbaron.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

When you request deletion, we remove your account and associated personal data within 30 days. Public contributions (e.g. hotel reports) may be retained in anonymized form so the community data stays useful, with your name and email removed.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Anonymous analytics help us see which hotels and guides are visited most often — no cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies.
